Description & Objective:
Curious about the audition process, or have an upcoming audition? This audition masterclass offers an exploration on what to expect when entering into a room for an audition. The class will start with a discussion allowing participants to ask questions and gain relevant information. We will then explore quick techniques to help elevate nerves and settle into the moment. And finally look at and receive feedback on audition pieces. Each participant should be prepared with a monologue or song memorized for presentation prior to arriving at this masterclass. $35+tax ($5 discount for Maritime Theatre/Dance students).
Saturday and Sunday (Date to be posted for 2020), 1 – 5pm
Description & Objective:
Interested in deepening your theatre knowledge? Join us for a two day exploration of what directing is and how to implement your ideas from the page to the stage. Although the focus is on direction, participants should be willing to both act in the scene and direct the scene. Participants will start by taking part in a discussion about what directing is and how to connect to the work. Then a practical portion using a neutral scene and adding in their individual influence. $70+tax ($10 discount for Maritime Theatre/Dance students).
